Sriya received a PhD from the University of Cambridge (2000); Serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for the Study of Religion, Economics and Culture; Research Fellow, Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). Awarded a Population Council Social Science Research Fellowship (1998-1999), a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship (2000-2003), and grants from the John Templeton Foundation, the Isaac Newton Trust, and the Cambridge-INET Institute. She was awarded a University of Cambridge Pilkington Prize for Teaching Excellence in 2014.
