Nicholas Morris is a Director of Tusk. He is an Oxford trained economist (with an engineering science major) and has over 30 years experience in advising governments and corporations in major infrastructure programs and projects with particular focus on energy sector including geothermal. Prior to joining Tusk, Nick was the Chairman and Regional Director of IPA Energy & Water ? a multi national consulting outfit headquartered in London. He has worked on major assignments in SE Asia providing strategic advisory, due diligence and commercial evaluation studies for major investments in the energy and water sector. Specific assignments include commercial and economic evaluation of geothermal projects in the Philippines; privatisation of the electricity industry in Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines and tariff policy, performance measurement and the financial impact of independent power projects in Malaysia; and regulation of the water and electricity industries in Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. He recently led the value chain analysis of the major investment sectors of the 15-Year economic master plan of Indonesia called MP3EI as part of Tusk’s team that is providing strategic advisory to the KP3EI Secretariat.
Nick holds a Master of Arts degree in Engineering Science and Economics and Master of Philosophy degree in Economics both from the prestigious Balliol College at the University of Oxford. He also holds an Executive Diploma in Corporate Finance from London Business School. He was recently appointed as an Academic Visitor and Senior Research Associate to his alma mater, Balliol College, Oxford. Nick is based in Melbourne and he commutes to Jakarta for specific assignments.
