James B. Thomson is Associate Dean, College of Business, and Chair, Department of Finance, University of Akron. He joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland as a staff economist in 1986 and later held various officer appointments involving banking and financial studies until leaving to join the faculty at the University of Akron in 2022.
