Tobias A. Huber is currently a doctoral researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurial Risks at the Department of Management, Technology and Economics at ETH Zurich. His PhD thesis, which is supervised by Didier Sornette, examines the nature of bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets. His research has been featured in Bloomberg, CNBC, and MIT Technology Review. He has presented at various academic conferences and universities in Europe and the US. His writing has been published in, among others, Zero Hedge, Exponential View, and Quantitative Finance.

Tobias A. Huber’s research interests include financial bubbles and crashes, cryptocurrencies, volatility, and the philosophy and history of finance. He is a coordinator of the Complexity Economics working group. Before he started his PhD he was working as an independent researcher and trader. He has an academic background in economics and philosophy.
