Dr Martin O’Neill is Lecturer in Moral & Political Philosophy in the Department of Politics at the University of York. He works on topics related to equality, liberty, responsibility, and social justice, as well as problems at the intersection of political philosophy and public policy. He was Hallsworth Research Fellow in Political Economy at the University of Manchester from 2007-09 and, before that, Research Fellow in Politics and Philosophy at St John’s College, Cambridge from 2004-07. He holds a B.A. in PPE and a B.Phil. in Philosophy from Balliol College, Oxford, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Harvard University.
