Stephanie Blankenburg is Head of the Debt & Development Finance Branch in the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Prior to joining UNCTAD in June 2015 in this role, she was Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (Department of Economics) in London, UK. She holds a PhD degree in economics and a Master’s degree in development economics from the University of Cambridge (UK), and has published on a range of issues, including the analysis of neoliberalism, the history of economic thought and global economic and development policy issues. She was an Editor of the Cambridge Journal of Economics from 2001 to 2015, and is an Associate Editor since 2016.
