Mark Paul is an assistant professor of economics and environmental studies at New College of Florida, a Fellow at the Roosevelt Institute, and a Fellow in-residence at the University of Southern California’s Berggruen Institute. His work focuses on two areas: The causes and consequences of inequality and assessing and designing remedies to address it; and the economics of deep decarbonization. Mark’s research and writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Economist, Washington Post, The Financial Times, The American Prospect, and MIT Technology Review, among other publications. Mark is currently writing a book entitled Freedom Is Not Enough: Economic Rights for an Unequal World, with Chicago University Press.
