John Eric Humphries is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. His research interests include educational choice, the origins of inequality, and the role of personality in social and economic outcomes. His published research includes work on the General Educational Development test, educational choice, the role of cognitive and noncognitive skills in later-life outcomes.
Humphries received an Honors A.B. and an M.A. both in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2009 and 2013 respectively.
