Workshop

The INET YSI Financial Stability working group (WG) is organising a workshop as part of the Rethinking Finance Conference in Oslo at the Norwegian Business School BI on April 14th, 2018.


 Finance in the 21st Century Workshop

In our workshop, we will have a roundtable to discuss “Shadow Banking and Challenges on Regulation” with professors Daniela Gabor and Ann Pettifor, as well as the participation of Finance Watch and Rethinking Norway. Young scholars’ presentations will cover the following topics: Financial System, Finance, Inequality & Ecological Issues, Financial Innovation/ Digital Currencies, Financial Market Regulation and Shadow Banking.

Our workshop on April 14th is open for participation, with no fees required, but does not include lunch. To attend, please  send your name and institution/affiliation to [email protected] before April 12th. Note that In order to also participate in the Rethinking Finance Conference on April 12th and 13th, you have to follow a different registration procedure.

Rethinking Finance Oslo 

Rethinking Finance is a Conference organized as a cooperation between Rethinking Economics Norway, The Center for Financial Regulation at the Norwegian Business School BI, Finance Watch and the INET YSI Financial Stability Working Group. It will take place in Oslo, Norway, April 12 - 13 th, 2018. The main confirmed speakers are Sheila Dow, Ann Pettifor, Daniela Gabor, Jørgen Randers and Rohan Grey.
