The author is a mathematician (U of Toronto, 1969 and 1971) and actuarial consultant. He has written over sixty articles on investment risk management and presently has a book in manuscript “Dr. Atrill's Universe: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Money Planet”, and three academic papers on the theory of the firm, economic governance, and the equity puzzle that are in preparation for publication. The “price of risk” is rigourously informed by the author's discoveries affecting the theory of the firm (“The Modal Geometry of the Firm and the Balance Sheet Worth of the Trading Connections”, 2009) and the economic theories of Verne Atril, Ronald Coase, James Tobin, William Sharpe, and Harry Markowitz.
