- Meet and network with other young scholars from across the globe Students selected to participate in the workshop will receive complimentary travel, hotel rooms, and meals.
They also will receive invitations to the plenary conference entitled “Changing of the Guard?” hosted by INET and FGI in Hong Kong from April 4-7. The conference will bring together hundreds of prominent economists from around the world such as Nobel laureates Joseph Stiglitz and Amartya Sen and major global financial figures such as George Soros and Victor Fung. The deadline for applications was Sunday, February 24. Participants were announced February 28.
For those unable to attend the workshop, INET will host the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) in Hong Kong during the conference. Attendees at YSI Hong Kong will be able to watch the conference via live stream and have a chance to meet and interact with many of the conference speakers and other leading economists, including Nobel prize winners, as well as network with other young scholars from around the globe.
