Conference Venue

The Axica Conference Center is housed in DZ BANK’s representative building in the German capital – directly on Pariser Platz, a stone’s throw from the Brandenburg Gate and the government district. Situated at the historic divide between East and West, in the geographical heart of Europe, the building designed by architect Frank O. Gehry symbolizes a vibrant new Berlin.

Travel

We arrange travel for INET Advisory board members, speakers, moderators, and students. Other attendees are responsible for booking and paying for his/her own air travel.

Registration opens at 10:00 AM and the welcome begins at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 12, 2012, so please plan your arrival accordingly. We suggest that your return flight home departs on Sunday, April 15, 2012.

Air Travel

We have available a conference discount through our air partner Lufthansa. Special negotiated group fares with Lufthansa are available when departing from selected airports, such as New York John F Kennedy, Washington, San Francisco, and Boston, among others.

Hotel Room Reservation Process

INET is holding a block of guestrooms for the nights of April 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th at the Hotel Adlon and the Mariott in Berlin. Make your reservation early to be assured of space and pricing. Room reservations must be made before Friday, March 16th, 2011 in order to obtain the special group rates.

To make reservations, please email the Accommodation Request Form to events@ineteconomics.org. You will need to provide credit card information in order to guarantee your reservation. The hotels honor Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Japan Credit Bureau.

Reservation cancellations are according to the hotel’s website policy. All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid major credit card, which will be supplied at the time of reservation. Any guaranteed reservation not cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to one night room and tax cancellation fee.

Check-in time at the Adlon Hotel is 4:00 PM and check-out is 12:00 PM. If you arrive prior to check-in, your room may not be available for occupancy; however, the hotel will secure your luggage until your room is ready.
